Good Diet

A diet rich in protein is good for hair growth. Our hair is mainly made of a protein called keratin, the same material our nails are made of. To produce hair, cells found underneath the hair follicles need a constantly protein. So it important consume the right amounts of protein daily. Good sources of protein are lean meat, fish and soy.

Vitamins

We need vitamins in order to survive. Vitamins are nutrients that the body needs to function properly. But having too much or less of a particular vitamin can cause a specific disease. So it is important to take vitamins regularly at the right amounts.

With hair, there are certain vitamins that are excellent for hair growth and there are: Biotin or vitamin B7 and Pantothenic acid or vitamin B5. A lot of people think that taking high doses of these vitamins can induce faster hair growth. This is a very common misconception. To get these vitamins to work for hair growth, they need to be directly applied to the scalp and hair. Biotin strengthens each hair strands and pantothenic acid makes hair soft and shiny, both prevents hair breakage.

Hygiene

Good hair and scalp hygiene is very good for hair growth. Keeping your hair and scalp clean will prevent any microbial or fungal growth, like dandruff, eczema, or other skin conditions that can alter normal hair growth.
