Now sebum is an excellent skin and hair conditioner, but too much sebum isn’t good because this can make hair really greasy, attracting dust and dirt. On the scalp, sebum can thicken and could be a medium for bacterial or fungal growth. Washing hair everyday is an excellent way to control sebum production.
Massaging the scalp is also good for hair health since it improves blood circulation. More blood going to the scalp means more nutrients reaching the hair follicles. Massaging the scalp a few minutes a day is recommended.
Consuming the right amounts of nutrients is essential for hair growth.
Protein is very much needed since this is what hair is mostly made of. Our hair is mostly made of protein called keratin, so it is important to consume the right amounts of dietary proteins daily.
Vitamins are also good for hair growth since these essential nutrients act as co-enzymes that help in metabolizing food more efficiently.
