There are a lot of reasons why we would like to have fast growing hair. One good example is when we get a bad haircut. You don’t want to walk around with a hairstyle or hair do that you don’t want, right? Another is prepping for an upcoming event. Especially if you got short hair, you can’t do a lot of styling with if you have short hair, so having your hair longer give you more options with styling.
Fortunately, there are several ways to stimulate fast growing hair and it’s not difficult to do as long as you know the basic needs to get hair going and growing. Below are some tips for fast growing hair.
Keep your hair and scalp clean
Regular washing and conditioning is important to stimulate fast growing hair. Removing all the dirt and excess oils from your hair and scalp can prevent any microbial or fungal growth. Our sebaceous glands found on each hair follicle produce natural oils called sebum; this oil is actually good because it conditions our skin and hair. But if this oil is not regularly washed off, all sorts or dirt, germs, or fungi can grow on it. That’s why it’s best to regularly wash and condition hair.
Take Your Vitamins Regularly
Regular intake of vitamins is not only good for your body, it’s great for hair too. Vitamins act as co-enzymes that help the body metabolize nutrients more efficiently. Also there are the so called “hair vitamins” which are biotin and pantothenic acid. Biotin or Vitamin B7 helps strengthen, while pantothenic acid or Vitamin B5 makes hair slippery and shiny. Both vitamins prevents hair breakage and both should be applied directly on hair. This is the reason why a lot of hair products contain these vitamins due to their beneficial effects.
Don’t Use Heat and Chemicals
As much as possible, do not use blow driers, flat irons or heat curlers to style your hair; this will literally dry your hair. Use them only on a “need to use” basis like in important events. Also, don’t use chemical based dyes because this can cause chemical burns on your hair and scalp, worse case, you can get hair loss due to these harsh chemicals. Instead use natural dyes, they don’t last long and can be expensive, at least they are safe to use and wont affect hair growth.
That’s it! Just follow the tips above and you’ll have fast growing hair in no time.
